  • Celery Science Experiment: How Water Moves Up in Plants Revealed.

Celery Science Experiment: How Water Moves Up in Plants Revealed.

This is an easy, fast and fun experiment for kids. This experiment shows how water moves up in plants. The colours will climb up to the leaves.

    Celery science experiment video.

    Items needed:

    -Celery stalks

    -Water

    -Food colouring

    -Clear cups

    Instructions:

-For this experiment, I used smaller celery stalks so that the colours will show up sooner.

-Fill cups with water just until half full.

-Add three drops of food colouring in each cup (for this experiment I did one colour mix, blue and red to make purple).

-Place a cut celery stalk in each cup.

    -Enjoy the visual transformation.

The plants stayed in the water for about 5 hours.

This is what they look like 5 hours later. The yellow one showed a brighter pigmentation, the purple one looks more like a dark blue. The blue and red colours showed up really well. The green one looks a lot greener.

Here is a closer look at the stalks. The colours went through the capillaries. This is how plants get water and nutrients all the way to the leaves.

Hope you enjoy watching the video. I had fun doing this experiment.

    *An adult supervision is needed.

  • Diamond Painting Bracelets

    Diamond Painting Bracelets

I made these bracelets by using the Castle diamond painting kit from the dollar store.

I also used some gemstones that I already had. They made the bracelets glitter.

It took a while but I was able to decorate the bracelets with different colours of gems.

I hope you enjoy watching the video below.

I think it will look like a big bowl,

    with lots of colourful things…

I hope you enjoy this acrylic painting of what I imagined half the earth will look like.

  • Edible Craft For Father’s Day

    Edible Craft For Father’s Day

This time, I made something that you can eat.

In pictures 1 to 4, I used Graham crackers for the base. I used some frosting to make the crackers stick on the tray. I used crackers and pretzels sticks to make the shed. I used blue frosting with some sprinkles, gold fish crackers and my baby brother’s puffs for the fish pond. The puffs look like starfish. I then used chocolate cereal to put around the fish pond. For the animal farm, I used green frosting for the grass, wafers for the fence and some mini animal crackers.

In pictures 5 to 7, I used wafers, mini oreos and candy eyes to make the trucks. I used pretzel sticks, red frosting and chocolate cereal to make the campfire. Later I added orange M&Ms to look like flames. I took a whole date and split it in half, then I glued the candy eyes on them with white frosting, to make them look like bugs. I then used crush up oreos and brownies to make the rocks and dirt. Please watch the video below to see how I made this craft.

    Hope you enjoy the video.

  • Elephant Magnet

    Elephant Magnet

    Items needed for this project:

    >Soft air-dry clay

    >Super glue

    >magnet

    >Clay tools and cutters

When I make clay stuff, I usually make them out of my imagination. This is an elephant magnet that I made using soft air dry clay. I like this type of clay because they are easy to use and mold. When the clay is dry and hard, attach the magnet at the back with super glue. I hope you enjoy the video.

  • Making Flowers With Pipe Cleaners

    Making Flowers With Pipe Cleaners

On Mother’s Day, my sister and I came up with this brilliant idea to make flowers 💐with pipe cleaners. They are very easy and flexible to use and they are not messy.

You just need different colours of pipe cleaners, a clear jar and some colourful tissue papers to place inside the jar. You can tie a ribbon at the top of the jar to make the bouquet looks more fancy 🙂. You can also try pebbles instead of tissue paper 👍.

Here is the video of how they are made ⬇️ .
