Making Oobleck: Fun DIY Science Experiment with Cornstarch and Water.
    oobleck video

I made oobleck! It was lots of fun. I used 2 cups of cornstarch, 1 cup of water, and food coloring. I used red and blue colors to make purple, but I used more blue than red. I like the nice shade. You also need a shallow bowl to mix it. It can get messy, so you need something to protect the table. I played with it all day, and when I was done, mama put it in a bag and put it in the garbage. Next time, I will try to make a pink one.

-Hope you enjoy the video 🙂

    Happy Thanksgiving!

I had a great Thanksgiving Day with my family. My favourite part was helping to bake pumpkin bread. They were delicious. I enjoyed baking.

I am thankful for my wonderful family, friends, and teachers.

I hope you like the video.

    Have a great day.

  • Stencil Art

    Stencil Art

Hello friends! I have been very busy enjoying my summer vacation. I took a break from art and craft, though I played some Roblox games. I have been enjoying the outdoor pools and splash pads. I had the most fun at La Ronde Amusement Park in Montreal. Now, I am excited to go back to school, meet my teachers, and make new friends 🙂

I made some stencil art on canvas bags and aprons. I really enjoyed making this art and seeing how beautiful the designs are. I used a sponge because it is easier to get the paint on the canvas. Oh, I used a little bit of glitter on some of the bags to make the designs more interesting. I tried with a paintbrush, but it didn’t work well. I used a piece of cardboard inside the bag so the paint did not get on the other side. The stencils are easy to use. I tried to use paper clips to hold them in place, but that didn’t work, so I held them down while I applied the paint with the sponge. I use these bags as pencil cases for my crayons, markers, brushes, and small art supplies.

  • Make Polymer Clay Charms

    Make Polymer Clay Charms

I had a lot of fun making these clay charms. I have tried making these with play dough, but I like the clay better. I like how clay feels in my hands. I play with these charms in my dollhouse after they are baked*. I also made some Christmas ornaments charms, but I will do a separate video for that.

If you decide to make them, send me a picture 🙂

    Cheers,

  • Building A Paper Town

    Building A Paper Town

Few weeks ago, I went with my family to IKEA. It was my first time there. It’s a huge store with many floors. They have a lot of nice things, but I was more excited to see the art section. Mama bought these paper houses and some other art stuff for me.

You can colour the houses before building them. I was too excited to see what they all looked like, so I made them first before I coloured them. There are a lot of details on each house. I really like the different styles of buildings. There is a police station, a fire station, a hospital, a store I called “Lily’s Shop,” etc. I coloured the houses with crayons and markers and painted the trees with green paint.

I used 3/4 of a black poster board as the base. I used a green felt sheet for the lawn. The felt sheet had a sticky back, so placing them on the poster board was easy. I tried using the school glue to stick the houses on the felt, but it didn’t work, so I used foam and felt glue instead.

I used my toy car to draw lines for the streets and acrylic paint to paint the yellow lines on the roads. I prefer the yellow colour. Mama suggested one straight line, but I think the broken lines look better. I used chalk to design and draw directions.

I used some lego toys, my toy car, barbie dolls, and other toys. I built the legos; the man is selling food, and the woman is selling flowers.

If I had to do this again, I would colour the houses first. Anyway, I plan to buy them again and do a Christmas version with lights, so stay tuned… 🙂

This project took 3 days to complete, and I had a rest day in between.

    Cheers!

  • Making a necklace with soft clay

Making a necklace with soft clay

I made my first necklace with soft air-dry clay. It was really fun to make. I like the colours, it reminds me of a campfire. I called this necklace Forest Leaf Necklace because it has the colours of the forest in the fall.

  • Barbie Fashion Show

    Barbie Fashion Show

The barbies are all excited about the fashion show. They all love their dresses made for them by their trusted designer.

I used a plain white t-shirt and cut up different styles to make barbie clothes. My mom sewed them, then I designed them with fabric markers and dimensional fabric paint. This project took several days to complete. It was the most challenging but also the most exciting project. I had a lot of fun, it’s one of my favorite activities so far. I really enjoy playing with barbies and I’m sure the barbies had fun too.

The stage is made from recycled papers and boxes. I used markers and sticky notes to make the patterns.
